Pretendenthoeve Dressagehorses
Over 40 years the Pretendenthoeve has been producing top class dressage horses. As an accolade for his multitude of breeding successes, G.W van Norel was named by the Royal Dutch Sport Horse Society as 'Breeder of the year' in 2004.

IN THE SPOTLIGHTS:
June 2011: Uphill children succesfull; Curonia broke all records by the KWPN
Our mare Curonia (Uphill x Cabochon) had the best point's ever at the KWPN mareshow in Wezep (june 2011). This fantastic mare had 95 points for her movements and also 95 points for her exterior. Never had a mare such high points! At 15 june Curonia became champion of the 4- until 7 years old dressagemares and also day-Champion at the CK Gelderland in 2011. Curonia is a full sister of Aston Martin NL, which was succesfull with rider Christa Laarakkers at the World Championship in Verden in 2010 (picture at the right: the mare Curonia).
Another child of Uphill, the full sister of our stallion Briljant, is also very succesfull. This black mare (named Cristal) won for the third time the selection competition of the Subli-Cup for 4 years old horses (the Subli Cup is a competition for young dressagehorses under the saddle).

champion at the
KWPN Stallionshow 's-Hertogenbosch
The Champion (Cover Story, a son of Oscar) and the number two (a son of Winningmood) of the 3 years old dressagehorses at the Stallion Show in 's-Hertogenbosch were owned by the Fam. Van Norel. The number 4 in this group was a son of our stallion Uphill (breeder Stal Laarakkers/ owner VDL Stud).
The selection of the 3 years old KWPN stallions started with ca. 350 dressagestallions in december 2009.
In 2010 the KWPN accepted 28 dressagestallions for performance testing. From this number, 6 horses were owned by the Pretendenthoeve.
